What exactly is this coffee? And is there any point in having it?
This drink is pretty basic: black coffee blended with fat. Most people who start their day with good fat experience:

First, I want to thank you for following me diligently and asking me questions regularly about all the food and beverages featured on my Instagram page @ihsaar. While my friends have been asking me to start a blog for about 5 years now, it’s all your engagement that has encouraged me to take this step.

Holistic Daily aims to be real while giving you simple solutions for living better daily. The intention is to give you access to all the recipes, tips and hacks in one place (since searching through highlights and posts can be quite a task. Phew!).

It’s only fitting that the first post features the #Ritual Coffee that features in the daily morning “Ritual” video. I get so many questions about this! Thank you for all the love you send me on that story. It truly makes my day.

Here goes with the first ever recipe post! Yay!

The Ritual Coffee

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup freshly brewed coffee, your way
  • 1/2 tbsp cold-pressed coconut oil or organic ghee
  • Pinch of cinnamon (optional)
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

METHOD:

  1. Brew a cup coffee as you like it . Leave it black. I would highly recommend using a fresh brew over instant coffee as a general rule in life. But if you like it instant, you can use that too.
  2. Pour the coffee in a ‘hot liquid friendly’ blender. This is VERY important. If it can’t hold hot liquids, the blender might burst.
  3. Add in 1/2 tbsp of coconut oil (or ghee).
  4. Blitz till both emulsify and you can see a layer of froth on top.
  5. Pour and devour.
