The code to rewire your mind

Today we’re covering a tool that is super-effective to rewire your mind.

It’s a tool that we use daily, almost every second of the day, but are not taught how to use EFFECTIVELY.

You guessed it! I’m talking about LANGUAGE; the words you use to speak to yourself and others.

Since we use language every second of the day, most people don’t even realise that it is a tool. With the subtle manipulation or creativity of words, you can rewire your mind and eventually change your behaviour.

As you probably already know, I am certified as a Master NLP Practitioner. This is the primary modality I work with to rewire your mind so you can live the life of your dreams.

The full form of NLP is Neuro-Linguistic Programming.

The “Linguistic” part pertains to language. Your thoughts, feelings, and experiences are coded into your mind in a specific language. You further use language to represent these deeper, internal processes of your unconscious mind.

So as an NLP Practitioner, a client’s language gives me an insight into how their unconscious mind works – their beliefs, their values, their general disposition in life.

Honestly, I LOVE using wordplay to rewire Clients’ minds.

In fact, I love it so much that I created a whole masterclass on it – WORDCRAFT – to teach you how to play with words to cause shifts in your mind and life!

Rewiring your mind is a lot like tweaking a computer program. You see, a computer program is like a set of instructions that tells the computer what to do, almost like a recipe for it. It’s a step-by-step guide for the computer to perform specific tasks. Imagine there’s a specific set of instructions that tells a computer how to display a particular webpage.

Now, let’s take this idea and apply it to the human mindYour life experiences shape your perceptions and beliefs, which are like the code in your mind. These beliefs are coded into your mindThis mental code, made up of specific words, visuals and thoughts, is what guides your mind and body to follow certain steps, resulting in specific behaviours and outcomes.

For example, let’s look at Rita. She often thinks, “I am a failure.” When she thinks of these words, they give her mind a set of instructions and steps.

Every time an external event triggers Rita to think “I am a failure”, she feels like she is not doing enough in life, which leads her to binge-eat. When she binge-eats she feels like she just can’t do anything right. This reinforces her belief that she’s a failure and creates a cycle that results in health problems.

So, “I am a failure” is like the computer code here. It’s the set of instructions that leads to the behaviour of binge eating and, ultimately, the outcome of health problems.

Here’s the beauty!

Just like you can change a computer program to display a different webpage, you can change your language to lead to different behaviours and outcomes.

This change is what is called as rewiring of the brain.

Imagine if Rita, in that same situation, chose to think, “At least I gave it a shot.”

It immediately causes a simple shift in perspective! Instead of feeling like she isn’t doing enough, she might start feeling good about herself for trying, and that can lead to different, more positive outcomes.

Language has the power to generate emotion and energy in your body.

A small change in language can shift your mindset and therefore has a direct impact on your behaviour.

Like this participant from the WordCraft Masterclass experienced.

Using the right language can help you build habits and then sustain them because it rewires your mind. It rewrites the code!

Isn’t it so cool, that something as accessible and natural as language is such an effective tool?

Now that you realise that language is a TOOL, I’m sure you’ll notice where you would like to change your words to create a different reality.

Happy playing!

PS. WordCraft’s coming up super soon – So stay tuned for the juicy details!
