Get into ALIGNMENT!
Today I want to talk to you about alignment and share with you the magic that happens when you are in a state of alignment.
You must have heard this term, especially in spiritual or manifesting contexts. What does Alignment mean though?
Through my experiences, this is what I have come to believe is the closest definition of Alignment:
It is when you are in harmony, balance, and connection with your true/ authentic self, as well as with the Universe or a Higher power.
Spiritual alignment is the process of aligning your words and actions with your authentic values, beliefs, and ethical principles. It means living in a way that is in line with your highest truth, your inner self.
You are in alignment when you express your voice without worrying about having other people like you; when you do the right thing for you even when it isn’t easy; when you serve from your heart; and when you give without expecting.
Even when you aren’t doing these acts of service, you can be in alignment. Read on till the end to know how you can invite more alignment in your life.
After doing the inner work consistently for 5 years, I spend more time being aligned, than not. This is because I’ve done the work to identify and embody my truth. I identified my past conditioning and trauma and have replaced them with empowering beliefs and future visions.
Essentially, I have wired myself to be in alignment therefore it’s mostly on autopilot. And when you choose to do the change work yourself, you will understand what that feels like.
Coming into alignment through change-work involved:
1. Understanding my core beliefs, values, and purpose in life. Identifying my authentic values and beliefs.
2. Acting in Integrity with my values and beliefs. Living in alignment means making choices that reflect your spiritual principles.
3. Cultivating a sense of inner peace and contentment in my daily life. Where there used to be constant chaos, turmoil and anxiety, I now have calm, patience and faith.
4. Recognising my connection with the Universe and developing that relationship through listening to my intuition.
6. Serving and contributing to this world through my purpose and passion.
7. Learning to be kind and compassionate to myself and all beings.
Do I continue to do the work? Of course yes! Because it is a constant process.
Explaining the nuances of this usually takes a full session with my clients. So we will set that aside and now move to the exciting part that I want to share with you today.
How do you recognise those moments of alignment?
Let me give you a few examples of what happened to me during my trip to Pune recently and as you read them it will make perfect sense to you in your own life:
– While I was eating lunch one day, the electricity went. I wanted to heat up my second serving food and only then realised that the micro wasn’t working because of the lack of electricity. As I sat down to eat the cold food, the electricity came back. I put my plate in the microwave and it worked for exactly 30 seconds before the electricity went out again. Guess what? It was just enough to heat the food! The electricity only came back an hour later.
– I was waiting in line for a security check at the airport and had quite a few people in front of me. Just as I got into line, a new guard came along and opened a new line. He looked at me directly and requested me to come into that line. From the 5th person in line, I became the first person in line.
– I went to Pune for some personal work. One of my best friends lives in Pune and has been super busy with work to the point where she gets only half an hour to an hour to chill/eat in a day. On my last day in Pune, 2 of her meetings got rescheduled. This gave us 3 hours to spend together. That made me sooooooo happy.
– Before I left for Pune, I was waiting for a package to be delivered. The actual delivery date was a day later, however, I obviously played with the Universe and said “It would be so fun if the package arrived before I left for the airport.” No point in guessing what happened. It arrived before I left for the airport!
You get the drift, right? It’s those moments of synchronicity where things just seem to work out for you.
That is the beauty of alignment.
When you are living in alignment things just work out for you, your desires easily flow into your life experience, you meet the best people, and the things you want – just happen.
Like the Uber that arrives on time when it is raining.
The food you’ve been craving is already waiting for you at home because a loved one ordered it.
Falling sick before your holiday, instead of during your holiday.
Finding that lost earring you’ve been looking for, right when you weren’t looking for it.
Getting that perfect parking spot.
This morning, my client said to me in session: “I’m feeling excited all day and I don’t know what I’m excited about, but I am loving this excitement.”
THAT’S ALIGNMENT! Feeling good for no reason is alignment!
So how can you find and invite more moments of alignment into your life?
On a daily basis, it boils down to a few simple things:
– Being present in your life. By this, I don’t mean you have to sit in one place and force yourself to be present. You could do a lightly engaging activity like colouring, household chores, gardening or exercise.
– Doing things that bring you joy. Joy is your natural state of being, therefore when you do things that bring you joy, you naturally come into alignment. This could be dancing, singing into your hairbrush like you’re a pop star on a world tour, playing with animals or even walking naked in your room (cuz why not?)
– Asking your mind and the Universe. Simply say in your own words “Hey Universe! Show me some moments of alignment today. I am open to experiencing magic.”
OR to command your mind you can start your day with the intention “I am easily noticing how things are working out for me today.”
Easy enough, right?
In fact, I’m sure you will notice more moments of alignment in your life by just reading this email because you are now aware of it.
And I’d love to hear about your moments of alignment too! Sharing these experiences can be incredibly uplifting and enlightening for all of us. It’s a beautiful way to connect, inspire, and celebrate the magic of alignment in our lives.
Love
