Are you stuck in a loop?

What I am sharing with you today, will help you understand your mind and your behaviour and the loop. 

As you read through what I am saying it will make complete sense to you. Once you understand this, you will immediately notice new opportunities and choices show up for you in your mind!

I believe that if all of us were taught this at a young age, the world would be full of joyful, fulfilled people. One of the reasons I do what I do is so that I can empower as many people as possible with the tools that will help them change their lives and fulfil their potential.

The first step to creating change is awareness. Awareness of what you want to change.

Awareness is the basis of all transformation. Without the awareness of what is limiting you and how it is limiting you, you cannot change. Like when you have a fever and go to a doctor for a diagnosis. A fever is a symptom that something needs to be treated in the body. If the Doctor cannot identify the cause, they cannot treat you and give you a prescription that will help you heal.

So now, tell me…

Have you ever tried to change your behaviour through sheer willpower, only to go back to the behaviour you were trying to overcome? Like binge eating or “laziness” or spending excessively on things you don’t need.

Or do you feel like you keep attracting the same situations again and again? Like debt, people who don’t appreciate you, or romantic relationships that end the same way over and over again.

Or do you feel really frustrated in life; like no matter what you do, nothing is going your way? Like no matter how hard you try you just can’t seem to get where you want to?

These are all just symptoms, telling you to look deeper into your mind – where the actual cause lies.

You feel the way you feel and do the things you do because of what’s happening in your mind. More specifically your Unconscious.

Your Unconscious is wired in a specific way based on your life experiences. It has a series of programs that dictate your perception, feelings and behaviours.

It works like an automated computer program. This means that your thoughts, feelings and behaviours are automated and work like a loop.

Simply put you are wired to feel and behave the same way in certain situations and therefore you are stuck in patterns and cycles in your life. This is why you keep attracting the same experiences over and over again in your life.

Your mind and body are stuck in the loop of the past and keep bringing more of that to you in the present.

All the limiting states and behaviours that you experience are a result of what is deeply embedded in your Unconscious. Your Unconscious is what is responsible for creating 95% of your reality. This is why it may feel like you are never really moving forward because 95% of your reality is playing out like a movie on repeat.

Most people are not aware that they are stuck in a loop.

They don’t realise that they are thinking, acting and feeling the same way day in and day out without being conscious of it.

It’s not your fault, because you were never truly taught how to build an empowering perspective or how to utilise your mind. If we all had this information and understanding you would be living a vastly different life right now.

Also, I want you to understand that your behaviours are not “bad”. There is a positive intention motivating every behaviour. All behaviours are created because they are useful to us in a certain context. However, certain behaviours that were useful to you as a 7-year-old may not be useful for you today.

Let me give you an example. There is this video of Tony Robbins curing the stutter of a man named Rashad in a matter of minutes. Rashad had been stuttering for 30 years. As Tony speaks to him, they uncover the original intention behind the behaviour. Rashad shares that when he was a child his father used to beat his mother. As Tony questions him further he discovers that as a child Rashad started stuttering to distract his father and protect his mother. As a child, that’s all he knew. He unconsciously created a new problem to protect his mother. 

However, as a 30-year-old man with children, this behaviour of stuttering was not useful for Rashad anymore!

I had a client session today where we addressed the behaviour of yelling. As we spoke, my client shared that she started yelling as a child when she was being bullied to stand up for herself. This was a useful behaviour for her then. However, today, it was bothering her that she was yelling at people in situations where it wasn’t really necessary. 30-year-old her recognised that this behaviour is not useful anymore! So we did a couple of exercises and replaced the behaviour with something more useful for her from today onwards.

Imagine how different your life would be if you broke free of all the loops, and replaced all the thoughts, emotional states and behaviours that don’t work for you right now with things that actually serve you. What if your automated computer program was designed to create the life that you desire? What if you were wired to think, feel and act in a manner that empowers you?
