You need these fall Takeaways!
I just got back from a month-long holiday in the States. It was absolutely abundant, glorious and filled with takeaways!
This month will be sprinkled with references to my holiday. I had revelations, reflections and shifts that I want to share with you, so you can benefit from them too.
With this blog, I wish to bring to your awareness the concept of “changing seasons in our lives”.
I had the opportunity to witness the season of Fall. We don’t really see the colours and the drastic change in India and witnessing the beauty of nature’s changing season in HD colour really expanded my heart.
The trees all looked like beautiful strokes of paint; almost like flames of fire against the sky. The greens were turning yellow, peach, orange, maroon and even pink!
With this I share my first reflection: Just like the trees, you are allowed to change. You are meant to change! We are nature. And just like nature, we go through seasons. For me, seeing the trees transition from vivid green to the hues of the sun and fire is akin to the phoenix bursting into flames. The fire represents a cleansing and a celebration – much like at Hindu weddings and also in other cultures around the world.
Here are my Takeaways –
Takeaway 1:
Celebrate your evolution and the next phase. It might feel uncomfortable. However, know that the more uncomfortable it feels, the greater the cleansing. The moment you start to look at change from this perspective, the transition will automatically become easier.
By the end of the month, there were trees that were still green, trees that were just beginning to change colour, trees of fire and there were trees that were absolutely bare with no leaves at all.
Here I have 2 reflections.
The first reflection: The trees were transitioning and changing at their own pace based on their individual makeup. They weren’t competing with each other or wanting to be first to transition. It was so beautiful to see because the different stages they were in gave the eyes a variety of sights. It added so much character to the view!
I’m sure by now you’re catching on to the fact that I am using this as a metaphor for us humans.
What if we could be like that too? What if you just honoured where you are and at your own pace?
Takeaway 2:
We are all in different stages of our life and our growth journey. Comparing yourself to others, and where they are in their journey, is unfair to you. Honour where you are and know that you are right on time in your timeline.
The second reflection: When I saw the bare trees, only their skeleton visible, I was moved. I am always moved by these skeletons of nature. I find them so beautiful!! Standing tall, while they are completely bare. Nothing to hide. Completely vulnerable.
Takeaway 3:
Open yourself to the right people, bare it all, and you will be moved in the depths of your soul. Vulnerability is beautiful!
This last piece of the story is something I sense a lot of you need to hear.
I celebrated Diwali in the States. While we were celebrating Diwali, people were already decorating their homes for Halloween, and shops had Christmas decorations too! It struck me then, that world over, October/ November is when the holiday season kicks in, in full swing.
This brings me to my final reflection for today: As nature starts slowing down, so do we through these holidays. As it gets darker and colder outside, we light lamps & lights and spend time with our loved ones for warmth. We naturally feel like sleeping more, snuggling or staying indoors. This is nature’s way of asking you to rest and recuperate. This is SO SO important to recognise and honour in today’s age of hustling and bustling.
Takeaway 4:
When you feel the call to rest, rest. Trees shed their leaves with grace; with the knowledge that in doing so they are making space for bigger fruit, blossoming flowers and vibrant leaves. Since we are nature, the same applies to us. Allow the rest and the release; for with the next season, you will welcome abundant energy, vibrance and beauty again.
I encourage you to embrace the season you are in, just as nature does so gracefully. When you do this, you will naturally feel at peace.
Since we are at the beginning of a new month and season, it’s the perfect time to reflect on what you desire and how you would like this next month to unfold. If you haven’t bought the Manifesting Manual already, I encourage you to get it. Play with the Magic Matrix exercise or weekly Scripting to set your intentions for this season in your life.
